• Disseminate and implement throughout the National Territory the External Quality Control Program – PRO-EX or Proficiency Test, intended for Clinical Laboratories and Blood Banks, monitoring their analytical performance;
  • Comply with international standards and guidelines recommended by national and international organizations in planning, composition, implantation and evaluation, related to proficiency tests;
  • Develop handouts on technical-scientific, administrative or quality control issues to assist the Participating Laboratory in its continuing education;
  • Evaluate the results of its Participants, calculating the average of consensus, standard deviation, coefficient of variation and deviation relative to the average, as well as the monthly and annual evaluation, providing them with a concept and classification;
  • Encourage and assist Participating Laboratories to prepare procedures for the implementation of a quality management system, compatible with their size and complexity.
